If you are new to trail running and would like to "get a taste of the trail" (*which can be habit forming) try out the 5K -3.1mile (ish). For those who want to test their grit, run the 10-mile (ish) or half marathon (13.1 mile) race up to Becky's Bluff. Whether you are a seasoned trail runner looking for an excellent ramp up to the fall race season or looking for a reason to try running in the woods, you will not be disappointed with the Twisted Ankle Trail Races at Sloppy Floyd State Park.

All runners will encounter wide trails, some single track and a trip up to Marble Mine. 10-Milers and the half marathoners will hit the heart and soul of the Twisted Ankle Race as they top Becky's Bluff for a short trip on the Pinhoti Trail. Rocks and roots included.

Sloppy Floyd State Park is located in the beautiful foothills of Northwest Georgia. The park showcases 561 acres and two lakes that total 51 acres. You will find 25 tent/trailer/RV sites, 4 cabins, and 4 back country sites along with fishing, kayak and paddleboat rentals, and monthly activities.

ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE TWISTED ANKLE RACE GO DIRECTLY TO THE FRIENDS OF THE PARK. COME SUPPORT YOUR STATE PARK!
